Job Listings

I can't sleep, my stomach is acting weird, oye. At least I know it's not a gall bladder attack!

Sometimes when I can't sleep I look at jobs on Craigslist.com just to see what's out there and "prepare" myself. I started looking at things in L.A. thinking maybe it'd be an adventure, whatever. The L.A. jobs scare me. I guess I am of the opinion that there's SO many people in the L.A. area, SO many companies, that there's just more things that could go wrong. Companies starting and ending all the time, a faster employee turn-around rate I am sure, and simply more illegal/funny-business going on to watch out for. Then I started looking in Philadelphia and it all just seemed so much more...safe. Maybe that's telling me something (other than that I am a wuss and not ready to move to L.A. right now).

My two favorite job listings:

  • Audience Work - Quick $$$
So, Carson Daly's show is so unpopular they have to pay people to sit in the audience sometimes. Oh man, this cracks me up for some reason. Hah.

  • Blogger/Adventurer Needed
Who knew you could be paid to road trip and blog! I mean, hell, you mean my blogging obsession could actually be a PLUS for some jobs? I want that job!

Actually, if you're under 30 and reasonably attractive, you can pull down $15-20k a year before taxes sitting in audiences.

    Seriously.
