I was listening to some music and Kenna's "Hell Bent" came on and it made me think of the video and how much I loved it. I thought I'd see if I couldn't find it on YouTube.com since I hadn't seen it in years and really wanted to be reminded of why I loved it. So I started to think of what other videos I liked enough to be memorable to me. Here's a few:

  • Kenna "Hell Bent"
This is probably my favorite video of all time, I would leave Mtv 2 on just to see this video. I like the song a lot, but it's almost boring to me without this video, it's so interesting.

  • Lauryn Hill "Everything is Everything"
When I first saw this video I was absolutely mesmerized...so cool, such a cool idea. Not to mention there's just some really gorgeous camera shots in it. Really awesome.

  • Basement Jaxx "Where's Your Head At?"
Hilarity, come on, it has monkeys in it! Warning: Listening to this song may lead to it being stuck in your head for who knows how long. It gets annoying.

  • Radiohead "Just"
I can take or leave this song, but the video is pretty interesting. I mean, don't we all want to know what the guy says? Fascinating.

  • The Beastie Boys "Body Movin'"
Who doesn't love this video? Geeky white guys being silly? I love it.

  • Junior Senior "Move Your Feet"
This is just a fun video with lame animation that I never seem to get sick of.

  • Bjork "Triumph of the Heart"
And how can I forget Bjork? All her videos are pretty awesomely strange, but this one takes the cake. Hey...any video that's weird enough to make my roommate leave my room because she was so disturbed? That's an interesting video. heh.

    Honorable Mentions:
    Regina Spektor's "Us"
The White Stripes "Fell In Love with a Girl"

I'm so sleepy. I have been incredibly groggy all day today. I didn't get a whole lot of sleep yesterday and I was okay, but I guess 2 nights in a row of it caught up to me. I also think I woke up in the wrong sleep cycle or something.

We had the first in a series of speeches by this guest philosopher this week tonight. I was having a really hard time not falling asleep. Afterwards Joel, Derrick and myself had dinner at Grinders, the rest of them went to the bar for happy hour. It was sort of nice to actually have some people to do something other than go to the bar with. I didn't feel like drinking and I didn't feel like being around all the smokers...but they invited me, which was nice. It's just like college though, when most people aren't interested if there's no alcohol involved. I enjoy having the occasional buzz, but I could have just as much fun without it usually. Why are people too good for parties with board games instead of beer? I guess I still don't see what the big draw of drinking is. Are your lives so uninteresting or awful that you must escape nightly? I enjoy just spending time with my collegues, oh well.

So tomorrow I have to be on campus by 9am, before then, really, the session starts at 9 and if I want to walk over with my classmates I should be there early which means taking the 8:30 bus...ugh. I am so tired, I am not sure if I will even stay up to watch The Daily Show tonight, I just hope my body doesn't pull it's usual crap and wake up after an hour or 2 and say "okay, nap over!". It likes to do that if I go to bed before 2am.
