Is my knowledge justified?

Whenever I write something and think it sounds really good...I worry.
Because usually the professor doesn't agree.

Confidence scares me in academics.

It's funny, because you (not "you" personally, but everyone) get off on these paths of ideas, and the more you think about it the more it makes sense to you, and you get excited and like "yeah! yeah! yeah!", and the point feels stronger and stronger. But, you have to make sure to write it really coherently or the prof might answer with 'I don't follow'.

I always did better when I felt confident, but I always took great care while I was putting it down to present it in a way that someone outside my head can understand, too.

I have a tendency of thinking and expressing myself in a slightly awkward way and it works out alright for me on a one-to-one basis but trying to make it work in a paper is something entirely different.
