The Innocence Mission - "The Melendys Go Abroad"

I generally don't gravitate towards music without words. I really had no idea what to post today, I first thought of movie themes. I have the themes from my two favorite movies on my iTunes and they both make me smile. But they make me smile because they remind me of the movie and give me a feeling because of that. There's a calypso cover of a They Might Be Giants song that is instrumental that I thoroughly enjoy, but the song originally has words, so it somehow doesn't feel right either. But yesterday I received the copy of the most recent Innocence Mission record that I had ordered last week. The Innocence Mission usually include at least one instrumental song per album. There were two on this one, but this one stood out to me because it's really beautiful, so I thought I'd put that here today.

If you don't know who The Innocence Mission are...they're a band that lives in my hometown of Lancaster, PA. They make somber yet somewhat joyful, very mellow and intimate music. It's delicate, lullabye-ish and it feels like a warm blanket on a cold rainy night to me. They calm me.
