Eggs, not jelly.
Mar. 4th, 2008 08:17 pmI have had a craving to make something eggy, I know...odd. Anyway, I decided to make a breakfast "pizza". Of course, it's more like a casserole or something since it's not round, but that's what the recipe was called so whatever. I made it this afternoon, so it's not really for breakfast, but the thing takes almost an hour to bake and there's no way I want to get up and bake something as soon as I get up, so I make it when I feel like it and heat it up when I'm ready. I did take a fork-full of it tonight though, and it was good. So mission accomplished.
You know how sometimes I get into this 80s music mode where I can't stop listening to it and I am obsessed with finding songs I don't have and adding them to my collection...well, it appears that I am now getting this way for cover songs. Of course, my favorite is still covers of 80s pop songs, and a second to that would be covers of pop songs in general, especially when they make them all acoustic and folky and not at all like they used to be. BUT, I also love it when artists I love cover OTHER artists I love, I mean, that's win/win right there! So, I thought I'd share some covers of artists I like doing covers of The Flaming Lips. The Ben Folds cover, I admit, I like way better than the original. And Vyvienne's I might say the same except that I like the original so much too, so I say they are loved equally for different reasons. And the Beck isn't anywhere near as good because the original is so great, but fun to hear regardless.
